Iqor Recovery Services – What To do!
So for some reason you have a negative balance with paypal?
And i bet its really uncalled for … i bet they probably just decided to refund somebody without asking you, leaving you with a negative balance right?
Next step is you have recieved that call from Iqor Recovery Service!! Worried? Don’t Be!
Let’s have a look at my experience first..
I decided to sell a few things on eBay, sold them .. put the money in my bank .. done and dusted.. untill i recieved an email asking me to resolve a negative balance!! paypal had decided to just refund somebody without telling me, well, they’ve made their bed … they can sleep in it.
Few weeks later i recieve the contact from iqor recovery service and in a few minuites work its all blown over! thats if you “owe” paypal £10 or £100,000!!! so what did i do?
1. As soon as you get the phone call from iqor don’t give them any info, don’t “confirm your adress” don’t “confirm you date of birth”… they called you .. they know who they are speaking to, you have no legal obligation to provide this information. They cannot speak to you now so will hang up. Rule number 1: they can only make contact once a week. This doesnt include answerphone messages, emails or letter but as of actually making contact they can only do this once a week, they will ring you back the next day … once you let them know you know the law they will back off and stop calling!
2. Its not over yet though, now your letter from iqor will come! with a free post envolope, now my first thoughts were to fill it to the brim with junk mail or stones or whatever or even just send them an empty envolope back with IMPORTANT written on it, but lets take it a little more serious.
3. Now before you do anything on your reply lets start with writing in massive bold letters “I DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ANY DEBT TO YOUR COMPANY” dont do that and you are basically saying you know you owe iqor any money.
Now we would like them to provide a copy of the Signed, Excuted Credit Agreement via a Consumer Credit Act (CCA) request. to prove you owe them money, you can find a template for this letter here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk…templates.html i would then send this via recorded delivery, just to make sure they don’t claim to have not got the letter. You’d think they would get this info to you sharpish right? well untill this matter is settled you don’t owe them anything, and if they fail to provide this within a month, THEY are breaking the law. Under the data protection act, if they dont supply you with this info, they are to cease processing any of your data immediately!
4. There is a highly likely chance that they don’t actually have the document as paypal don’t have any signed documentation to say you owe them any money, there is no written contract between you and paypal, and a simple click here to accept terms and conditions won’t stand up in court.
5. They know you know your stuff, they know you know you dont have to pay this money, they know their agression won’t work, keep calling or writing to you … its time to tell trading standards! this is all it takes, no court cases, no worried to answer your phone .. relax … do these points … and get on with life
Some Points To Consider
1.When Iqor Phones you they will be very rude and agressive and make all sorts of threats, i know some people who iqor have been “filing a court case” for 6 months now, don’t give in and pay! they use they’re agression to try and get the money out of you
2.When they call dont confirm who you are!!!! if they then continue to talk to you about your “debt” reply with “i don’t have a debt with paypal” to any question they ask, and say it calmly, once they have hung up, job done!
3.They are not allowed to make contact during work hours, or after 7pm if they do, tell them this and hang up.
If anybody has any letters, i would be happy to write them a reply!, pm me and i will sort it out, purely for hate of this company!
Hope this has been helpfull, and hope this at least stops a few more people haveing money taken off them that they don’t owe!

hi. i have had this chargeback scam done on me. i had sold a phone some time ago. £400.54, i had a mail from paypal about chargeback but did not know what it is. they told me to supply them the details so i gave them dhl tracker to romania. paypal could have told me not to send my phone but they told me that they will fight my case. i asked papyal that there is no way that the mooney can go back to buyer and that they will notify in case. 2weeks later after they told me that i owe them paypal money!! now i am getting letter from iqor recovery priks. can u please advise me what to do at this point. letter dated 4th jan but i received on 15th jan, 10days already lapsed fromthe date of letter. no futher letter or calls received. i will really appreciate your time and help.

I had my bank acc frauded so had to remove it from ebay. By the time I opened a new acc I owed Ebay £90+. Ebay phoned me and gave me thier bank acc detials and said I could have till January to pay up. This I did then got a bill from iqor for £100+. This I ignored then a lady from Ebay phoned and I quoted the Ebay acc to her and the date I had paid. Then a bill from iqor for £20 came, ignored, then a phone call.Irefused to confirm any details and they hung up in disgust. Now after reading your advise I know how to deal with them. Thanks
Hi Iqor have also contacted me saying that I owe them money. I started paying them stupidly but know have cut of the direct debit. I have just got the letter demanding the remainder (£150). what do i do?

you say not to confirm your address and such to them on the phone,but without sounding stupid wont i be doing this when sending them a letter along with the £1.00 postal order asking for proof that i owe them the money?

This just seems odd rather than useful, but in the interests of sharing. I recieved a letter from iqor, it wasn’t until after I opened it and put on my glasses I saw that although the address and postcode were correct the name wasn’t. In fact I had never seen or heard the name. The letter was of a threatening nature (court action, 72 hours to pay etc.) claiming that this unknown person owed money to ebay. I phoned them to tell them noone of that name lived here. The person who answered was really good about it, immediately assuring me that they would sort it out and that someone must have used my address in an ebay transaction. When I said I had better contact ebay they said no need. They would sort things out with them.
The thing is, I had decided before calling I would not reveal any personal info, but they did not ask any! Not one thing except the ref number on the letter. This seems wierd to me. given who they are why would they be fobbed off with a phone call claiming not to be the person. I am not the person and don’t owe ebay anything but they don’t know that just on my say so on the phone.
Its left me wondering if this is some sort of scam, and that there may be more to come. Welcome any thoughts. Keep up the good work

i have recieved a leeter from iqor on 4th march stating that i owe 61.99 on be half of ebay plus 2day i recieved a letter from geoffrey parker bourne solicitorsthat if i dont dont pay it within severn days that they would be starting legal action.

thanks to google street view,I had a look at the address and found some crappy back street in Preston and was immediately suspicious of this company,hence I’m here now.

Paypal refunded payment from a buyer, I had already transferred funds to my b/account.Hence paypal in red. Now getting letters from IQOR. Account ebay buyer used was found to have been hacked, very frustrated as have never had to deal with debt companies before.
hi i keep haveing these iqor letters to, they keep trying to get me to ring them which i find very odd, because if it was that important they’d ring me, not only that i avent even got paypal and never have so i dont understand this. they must b a scam

Hi guys i had a letter from iqor saying i owed them money for a debt that had been pasted on by working tax credits i am still on working tax and had no letter from them would they have not taken it from my benifits. I closed my eBay account early this year due to problems with eBay and my disagreement with certain policy’s. I then received a bill of £35.22 for eBay fees, i attempted to pay this a few times but was unable, i sent eBay a Cheuqe for the sum of £35.22 but it was not cashed.
I recently received a letter from iQor saying i owe them £45.22 and i had 72 hours to respond, the letter itself took a week to get to me (Going by the letter date). I called iQor to ask what the hell was going on, and turns out its an eBay debt. a Few words were crossed and i paid the £35.22 + a £2 surcharge, i refused to pay the £10 admin fee.
The rep i had spoken to got authorization from her manager, to waver this fee if i can prove i had sent eBay a cheque.
A week later (today) I took a call, “blah blah, can you confirm your name and address”*No, why should i* “for a debt, please confirm” i refused and she hung up, i called stupidly called them back to ask what the call was about. i still owe them £8.22.
I explained that this fee would be wavierd, the rep on the line told me otherwise, her manager said i had to pay, i asked to speak to this manager but she was then busy and would call me back within 3 hours.
I said my call was recorded and that i had proof an iQor rep told me it would be wavierd (I don’t) she moaned about not asking for permission, i said “Your calls are recorded? did you ask my permission?”
I said, i want her to get the recording of my last phone call and that will have their rep agreeing to my payment amounts etc, she then said that this wouldn’t matter, the letter states other wise.
I said, that they can do all they want, i am not paying etc, she then hung up.
Question:
WHAT the heck do i do?

hi all this info is rlly good. i have had the same letter form iqor but demanding all documentation. i have already been 2 steps further by goin to trading standards and the the UKECC ( United Kingdom European Consumer Centre) as PayPal is in the EU. I will let all you know how i got on. But i can promise you all now i wont be paying this money as i dont owe it.
ive had 4 calls from 0845 1550456 in last 4 days wen i answered it went dead, so i did a search on the num on whocallsme.com n ppl’s replys say its a debt company called iqor n t do wiv ebay/paypal, i thort i not got acc’s on either so made a complaint on TPS (telephone preference services) that im registered wiv. i jus got another call n a woman asked for a friend of mine so i sed i no who she is n can i pass a msg on n she sed tell her t check her ebay acc. my friend doesnt use my num as a contact for anythin as she has her own phone n anytime she does need another contact num she uses her mums. so how has iqor got my num wen they want my friend. if they ring me agen ile jus say ive reported them

i got a phonecall from iqor saying i owed over £100 debt to ebay, i was like
wtf then i went deeper into ebay finding out why, it was down to me trying to sell one item (a psp) but people were ghost biddding thats when they bidd on it get it but dont pay for it, so i had to keep on relisting it, now the debt stands at £108.70 but ebay are willing to give me £60 certusy credit, but why should i pay this debt for its ebays fault not mine, please email me aything you could do to help me on craig@corky.me.uk btw ive just turned 18 so how could i be in debt alredy
ive now sorted my prob out wiv iqor. after nearly 2 wks of calls evry day id contacted consumer direct n tradin standards who then forwarded my complaint onto office of fair tradin n also the information commisioners office. i then rang iqor n told em i wanted t make a complaint n i made the guy listen t me, he sed the dead calls wer due t my num bein on an automated call system, he has deleted my num n i havent had any calls now for 3 days yay.

paypal refunded my customer £290 becouse the customer toled them he had not had the goods, after i had deliverd the goods,this went on for weeks even thou i sent them proof of delivery,i even since opend another account and payed my negative balance so they could release money from another account. to carry on trading,and a customer payed in £870 and they froze that as well now this has been going on now for almost 3 weeks,what paypal is doing is wrong,if they want to use british money thay should be under british law,they are crooks,iqor are just bullies,tell them to got to hell i did,it’s not a crime to owe money,but it’s a crime to steal it like they do together with paypal

i received a phone call from paypal 2 months ago saying i had a negative balance and needed to pay it. I knew absolutely nothing about this negative balance until paypal phoned me, when i asked how they said it was due to refunds being made to buyers. I never received any emails or letters or anything saying that there was a problem.
so, not knowing what to do i made an arrangement with paypal to pay something off the debt every month however after making two payments to paypal i get a phone call and nasty letter from iqor.
i don’t know what to do and its really stressing me out. any help/advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
recieved a txt from IQOR with a contact number, ref etc… I used ebay recently but for a phone protector which cost 99 pence. My Paypal acc shows I have 33 pence to spend.
Upon calling them (from my phone in work) i didn’t give any of my details, they refused to give me any so i pretty much said ‘will thats that then’…
2 questions is thats cool 1. is there any other reason they may be calling or is it strictly ebay/paypal? 2. how did they get my mobile number?

Hi guys,
Only time we have ever had any experience with IQOR is with ebay/paypal. We are pretty certain that is all they do. Just refuse to give them any info over the phone, they will send you a letter letting you know why they are contacting you.
