Starting Out With Dropshipping

This guide assumes you know the basics of dropshipping and have decided to take this idea further, if your still clueless then read this … what is dropshipping? this will give you the ins and outs.

Now, the main thing you need to do is be carefull you need to be sure you can trust the dropshipper you are planning to use, other wise dropshipping just won’t work for you.

There are many places to look my first choice would be the wholesale forums , use the search bar at the top and search for what you are looking for, most of the time there will already be a thread with comments so straight away you know what they do and if other people have suceeded with them, you can also look in out dropship reviews section and see if any positive reviews we have given have the kind of products you would like to sell, you can also try directories or even google. this won’t happen over night and i would advice searching for that while longer before settling for a dropshipper.

Okay so you’ve found a dropshipper, now before jumping into bed with your dropshipper dig up some dirt! google they’re nameif everything seems okay there ask other people who might have used them, try asking people on wholesale forums or dropship forums and see who comes back, study they’re website and whois.ent  their domain name do everything match up? speak to them on the phone and email them see how long their response time is, everything looking good? now from my experience i have found a test order is more than necessary so order something to your home adress, this gives you some insight into delivery times and how much pride they take in packing ect … is that product what you ordered , did it arrive on-time ? if you can answer yes to everything chances are you’ve found your dropshipper.

So, time to start selling, even with droshipping it’s best to start of small, pick 2 or 3 products and find somewhere to sell them, don’t just jump straight to eBay, explore the market , although don’t ignore eBay’s call it is the biggest online marketplace .. but not the only online market place.when you get order place them with your dropshipper promptly and forward any info you get from your dropshipper to your customer (dispatch notice, tracking number ect) once this goes well then pick another 5 products and grow that way, last thing you want it go listing all 1000 only to find you can get them when they sell, so take your time and do your research and things should go well.

 Dropshipping On eBay!

eBay is always everybodys first choice, but selling on eBay when you hold the stock … you need to be s**t hot, so dropshipping on eBay you need to be a type of hot that i can’t even imagine, Be as honest as you can in your listings, if you know an item takes 10 days to be delivered tell your customer it takes 10 days, if they ask for local pickup accept their offer say they need to pay with paypal first and get the item in ready for them to pick up (this permits your dropshipper doesn’t take too long to deliver). Like i’ve said before always pass on any info you get! an informed customer is a happy customer!
